Abstract
BL25SU beam line of SPring-8 is a soft X-ray beam line dedicated to solid state spectroscopy. The light source is a twin helical undulator inserted in a 4.5m straight section. The fundamental radiation can cover the region from 250 eV to 4 keV. At present a varied line spacing plane grating monochromator is installed on this beam line which can cover the energy region from 250 to 1500 eV with the energy resolution better than 10,000 in the full region. 4 experimental stations are installed in tandem on this beam line. 1. High energy resolution photoemission spectrometer(SES200), 2. Core absorption MCD instrument(two pairs of permanent magnet dipoles with field strength of 1.4T), 3. 2D(dimensional) display type photoemission spectromter for photoelectron diffraction experiment, and 4. photoemission instrument for MCDAD and spin analysis. Typical recent experimental results of these instruments are reported. PEEM experiment done at the 4th end station before installation of the spin photoemission instrument will be also reported.
