PyMCA beyond X-ray fluorescence

Abstract
PyMca is an open source package best known for its capabilities in the field of X-ray fluorescence analysis. However, it is also a generic imaging tool offering multivariate analysis possibilities to other techniques. Among the features already implemented and available to the users we can find principal and independent component analysis, non-negative matrix approximation, direct support of NeXus/HDF5 files and multidimensional visualization. This talk will present the status of the code and foreseen developments as well as a short introduction to HDF5.
